Stanley Thomas Sajecki, Fordham University

Abstract

The purpose of the Manual is to afford Counselors the opportunity of securing., before the season starts, as much information as possible concerning all phases of Camp life, and hence to prepare them adequately for the summer ahead. The contents of this Manual are expected to be used not only as a practical text for counselor-training courses, either before or during the Camp season, but also as a referral for difficult situations confronting the counselor at various times. In preparing this Manual, focus has been placed on the presentation of the Program so that counselors can secure some practical understanding regarding the type of programs suitable for the various age-levels of campers. These specific suggestions undoubtedly will enable the counselor to plan and execute activities in accordance with the expressed wishes of the campers.
