The Parish School: Its Purpose, Power and Growth in the United States

Mary Serena Brophy, Fordham University

Abstract

The Parish School is of such wide extension that it may well demand an exceedingly comprehensive treatment to do it justice. No claim is here made to such an attempt. The main purpose of this Dissertation is to emphasize the Purpose, Power and Growth of the Parish School in the United States; to show that it derives its Purpose and Power from Christ Himself, Who is at once its master and its spirit.
