The Nature of Ethical Judgment According to Some Modern Emotivist Theories

Ivan Boh, Fordham University

Abstract

Understanding of emotivistio theories of ethics is of considerable importance both to a student of philosophy and to a social scientist, for even though this type of ethics is comparatively new and as yet of doubtful historical importance, and even though it is at present confined mainly to the Anglo-American world, we may expect it to spread as far as logical positivism will extend its influence.
