Kathryn Marie Meehan, Fordham University

Abstract

It is the purpose of this study to test the validity of the Brace Scale when applied to girls between the ages of eight and sixteen; to investigate the accuracy with which the scale assists in the classification of pupils; to test the reliability of the Brace Scale; to discover whether or not the two forms of the teat are equivalent by testing the validity of each item and examining its difficulty; and to see what value the Brace Scale is for predicting grades in physical education.
