Abstract

The problem of drug addiction - its etiology, its prevention, its treatment and its control - is one of the most serious problems facing us today. Most important in 1967? the time of this study, is the fact that the increasing seriousness of the drug addiction problem has brought about a general agreement that it must be solved and solved soon. Nor can there be any doubt, on the other hand, that the solution to the problem is not easy. Whether private enterprise or governmental agencies can or should solve the addiction problem, is a problem to discuss.
