Abstract

The importance of the problem of Juvenile Delinquency hardly needs reiteration. In fact, it is a problem to which all levels of government ( Federal, State and Local) have addressed themselves. Widespread concern is felt over the number of juveniles and youths becoming involved with, the law and appearing dally in our courts*.There is cause for even greater concern about the nature of recent juvenile misbehavior; juveniles are increasingly committing serious crimes such as murder, rape and robbery as well as less serious crimes such as malicious mischief and larceny.
