Abstract
The history of organized labor's rise to power in the United States is one of a long and arduous struggle for recognition. Repetition of the historical facts, in any great detail, is not within the scope of the present thesis but a summary of the evolution of labor organizations, labor legislation and the role of the courts is pertinent.
