George Nicholas Sanders: "Young American"
Abstract
The casual reader of American History and perhaps, even the specialist, will regard the name of George N. Sanders with scant interest. But he was a man who was well known and had many influential friends in his time; a man that acted as consul in England, represented the Con- federate government in Europe, attended the Niagara Peace Conference, and also edited a monthly magazine, the Dem- ocratic Review, to mention only a few of his accomplishments.
