Visual Intensity Thresholds for Constant Area in Different Retinal Positions as Measured by Dark Adaptation

George F Nolan, Fordham University

Abstract

In any experimentation on vision one of the most important par- ameters is the area stimulated. whatever function of the eye is invest- igated, some finite region of the retine must be stimulated. The size of the retinal area will, of course, determine to some extent what re- sults are obtained. Therefore, the systematic study of the area prob- len is of paramount importance.
