An Analysis of Transfer of Training to the Left and Right Foot When Only the Right Hand Is Trained
Abstract
The study of transfer first began with the early psychophysicists. Weber (18) in 1844 observed that some children trained to write with the right hand were able without additional training to produce very good mirror writing with the left hand. A professor of surgery had also reported to him that it was economical to train students with the left hand, because the right hand with- out further training acquired the same skill.
