The Learning of Nouns Rated for Hedonic Tone

Abstract

Several experimenters have recently attempted to prove that pleasant material (sometimes called "ego- acceptable") will be learned faster than unpleasant ("ego-alien") material. They further suggest that neutral material (without apparent affect) will be learned faster then unpleasant but slower than pleasant.
