Personal Values as Selective Factors in Perception

Abstract

The properties of the stimulus field as they affect the range and fluctuation of attention have been investi- gated for many years. These properties include such vari- ables as intensity, quality, repetition, suddenness, move- ment, novelty, and congruity of the stimulus field.
