The Lazy Child
Abstract
This paper is a plea in behalf of the children called "lazy" by their elders, especially by parents and teachers. It carries the request that this attitude they know as lazi- ness be considered by them as a symptom of some disturbance that requires their understanding and help. Today, sympto- mology has come into its own and is receiving widespread recognition and acceptance. This makes the task of having laziness added to the list of symptoms of an underlying cause, an undertaking simpler and more possible today than it would have been a decade ago.
