Abstract

CHAPTER ITHE PROBLEM AND PROCEDUREIntroduction. The history of education in Poland dates back to the first half of the eleventh century when Christianity gained a strong foothold in that country. Through education the Poles have always sought to retain their national identity, to preserve the language and culture, and to perpetuate and diffuse such virtues as were indispensable to the preservation of their rich heritage.
