Abstract
Men seek homes where they may live in peace and happi- Contentment of mind and comfort of body can be ob- ness. tained only where the soil is productive and where the own- ers of the land are not tyrants. In the Forties, Ireland was a land where men's hopes and desires were crushed under the heels of the landlord.
