Bertrand Russell's Theory of Knowledge of the External World

Edward V Daubner, Fordham University

Abstract

The principal purpose of this investigation is to set forth as clearly as possible in its proper background Bertrand Russell's theory of knowledge of the external world. In order to do this, considerable space has been given to the elements of Mr. Russell's philosophy. The reader will find the second and third chapters on the scientific and mathematico-logical element in Mr. Russell's thought almost indispensable for a satisfactory comprehension of his knowledge theory.
