The Irish Constitution of 1937
Abstract
The Irish Constitution of 1937 is the ultimate expres- sion of the national culture of the Irish race. Its genesis cannot be found in a background of constitutional history or political theory for the reason that the Irish were too im- mersed in the sphere of practical politics to achieve a syn- thesis from centuries of institutionalized experience in con- stitutionalism.
