Economic Aspects of the Constitution of the United States
Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to show that the Con- stitution of the United States is an economic document; economic in the sense that it came into existence as the result of widespread economic distress; economic in that those responsible for its existence received economic ad- vantages thereby; economic in its structure, favoring one economic class in particular; economic in that its final approval by the people of the states, and its disapproval by the minority, were along economic lines.
