The Relation of Dichogamy to Seed Production in Aconitum scaposum Var. Pyramidale franch

Aloysius Sullivan, Fordham University

Abstract

Aconites in their native habitat live in mountain regions but the altitude at which they grow varies according to the variety. Some types of Aconites have been collected as high as 1200 to 2500 meters above sealevel.(6). The original home of the Aconites seems to have been the mountain regions of Asia and in particular those of China. However, several species are likewise common in the mountains of Europe and the United States.
