A Sympathetic Study of Seneca in Exile
Abstract
There is, perhaps, no author of Roman antiquity whose life and whose writings arouse such contrary emotions in the reader as do the life and the writings of Lucius Annaeus Seneca. He seems to have lived continually at antipodes and never to have found a firm footing.
