Tracing the Psychological Tendencies in Education

M. Egbert Meers, Fordham University

Abstract

Long before the dawn of the Christian era, even as far back as 3500 B.C. education had its beginnings on the banks of the Nile. Though much of this early achievement is buried in the mists of the past, historical research has accredited to the Egyptians an advance in education an advance far beyond any other nation of antiquity. Thus they are the pioneers in this field of endeavor.
