A Descriptive Study of the Leadership Training of Group Workers at the Young Men's and Young Women's Hebrew Association, 92nd Street, New York City, September 1946 - May 1947

Lillian Royfe, Fordham University

Abstract

In this dissertation the writer has described the 92nd Street Young Men's and Young Women's Hebrew Association's leadership training program for the September 1946 to May 1947 season. The author chose to do this study because she was closely identified with the work of the Y's club department; from 1944 to 1947 the investigator was a group worker in this department. In the September 1946 club-year leaders were offered personal supervision for the first time. This was an exciting innovation for all the workers and led the writer to do this study.
