An Experimental Comparison of the Validity of Five Methods of Assigning Weights to Multiple Choice Items in Interest-Attitude Tests

Abstract

Briefly stated, this study will attempt to indicate whether a method of weighting which employs unit weights will distinguish between groups on interest and attitude tests as validly as will methods which employ weights of varying magnitudes for each of the possible responses.
