Abstract

National attention is being given to problems resulting from impersonalization and lack of social cohesion in our urban centers. The focus of concern is the loss of community as a meaningful form of social and moral association. Today's American cities are faced with the deterioration of neighborhoods and with little sense of belonging on the part of individual citizens.
