A Study of the Degree to Which High School Students Are Realistic in Their Vocational Preferences
Abstract
One of the ever present concerns of the adolescent is the matter of his vocational choice, which so greatly will affect his way of life. Our contemporary complex society offers young people numerous occupational opportunities, and, unless these are used prudently, they may become the occasion of failure. The fact that the individual who makes such a choice is still an adolescent, who is still developing both intellectually and emotionally, cannot be ignored.
