Group Therapy, a Supplementary Treatment Tool in Child-Caring Institutions: A Descriptive Analysis of an Experimental Program of Group Therapy at Cardinal McCloskey School and Home for Children, Based on the Experiences of Sixteen Children, 1962-1963
Abstract
This study will describe the establishing and functioning of group therapy in a childcaring institution whose primary formal treatment tool, prior to 1961 had been casework. Through an investigation of the experiences of sixteen children, the study will attempt to demonstrate the need for such a program in order to more fully meet the varied needs of children in institutional care.
