The Marijuana Problem: An Exploratory Study of 223 Cases of Drug Use, the Youth Council Bureau, Manhattan Office, December 1965 to December 1967
Abstract
The use of marijuana is a social problem which has been of increasing significance in the United States since the 1930's. The increased public concern over marijuana has recently been reflected in the mass media by a growing number of popular articles, and television programs on the subject. Yet a brief overview of their findings demonstrates that there is little agreement about any aspect of the problem. Its size, the types of users, the effects of use and what should be done about the problem are still open to question.
