Some College Students Attitudes Towards the Social Work Profession

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to survey prevailing attitudes regarding the image of the social work profession through the expressed opinions of some college undergraduates enrolled in Fordham University,All professions are concerned with their image because it reflects on the morale of the members, affects function and influences recruitment. "The image has the effect of recruiting a certain type of individual and discouraging others. This in turn limits the range of people likely to consider the field and it restricts the variety of basic talents available."
