Practices in Curriculum Construction in the Catholic Diocesan Elementary Schools in the United States
Abstract
Fundamental changes have taken place in educational ideas during the past two decades. Educators have been spinning in a whirlwind of opposing currents and are still involved in changes that fail to incur permanency. They have not as yet recovered from the maze of mental confusion and hasty thinking that these changes have left behind.Where many drastic changes have occurred in rapid succession as have taken place in the last twenty years, there is grave danger that the sound philosophy of a people may be supplanted by false principles and false philosophies, A thorough consideration of present-day education with all its doubts and perplexities calls for timely thought and painstaking examination.
