A Study of Thirty-Five Filipinos at Their Jobs in the Greater New York Area
Abstract
Background of the Study. In the problems of welfare and education in the United States, and in New York in particular which is allegedly a melting pot, there is the issue of the Minority Groups. When one hears or speaks or reads about the Minority Groups, there is invariably the mention of Negroes and Puerto Ricans. They are not, however, the only citizens of America or residents of America who can be identified as Minority Groups. No mention is made of citizens who come from other countries, who make their living and livelihood here and fall under the heading of Minority Groups.
