Abstract
Katherine F. Lenroot of the Children's Bureau, Washington, D.C., addressed a group of home economists recently in Boston, devoting her talk to a summary of the "hoped for goals of this year's White House Conference on Children. She restated the goals of the first White House Conference in 1909 which emphasized the importance of home life to the child and of the need to focus all child care work on conserving the child's own home. She reviewed the focus of this year s conference as an integration of the various theories of the past twenty-five years in attempting to develop the whole person.
