The Impact of World War II on Five Adolescents in Placement Under Catholic Home Bureau Supervision
Abstract
A child’s own home and family are the natural medium in which normal social and personality development can best be assured.” These words are meaningful to those who work with children separated from home. There is little doubt of the truth of the statement, since by God’s design and the nature of man, a child’s home and parents are his birth right. But recognizing its truth, it has value to social workers who wish to probe more deeply into the factors surrounding a child’s removal from his own home.
