Abstract

This study deals with the problem of planning for the emotionally disturbed child who requires placement away from his own home. As a Bureau of Child Welfare worker and subsequently as a student in placement at Kings County Hospital, Psychiatric Division, the writer was aware of the difficulties encountered by those who are concerned with planning to meet the needs of these children.
