Abstract

Background of the Study. Ten members of the "Tomahawks", Brooklyn teenage gang, were rounded up by the police early today and held for the brutal beating of another boy in what was termed Ma case of mistaken identity ”. The victim, George Fisher, 17, 512 Woodward Ave., in the Ridgewood, Queens, section, was pointed out to the gang, police said, as the assailant of a Tomahawk member. The 10 gang members, armed with iron bars, descended on him Tuesday night as he sat on his front doorstep with two girls.
