A Descriptive Study of Twenty-Five Youth Board Referrals to the Jewish Board of Guardians From October 1849 Through June 1951
Abstract
The problem of juvenile delinquency, its prevention and control is a very complex one involving as it does the personality of the individual, his immediate environment and the whole community. Many special fields have contributed to an understanding of the causes and to the efforts to prevent its development. Psychiatrists and psychiatric social workers have stressed the early origins of the difficulty and the need for individualized understanding and treatment in solving the problem.
