Abstract

Background of the Study. There is no escaping the fact that one of the problems in the fields of social welfare, economics and morality in the United States of America today is the problem of alcoholism. Leaders in these fields recognize the importance of this fact and they have made efforts to have this problem brought to the attention of the public. Many volumes of research have been written regarding this problem in its psychological, physiological and sociological aspects. More research, however, has to be done before significant remedies can be discovered to cope with this problem.
