A Functional Study of the Foster Home Department at the Leake and Watts Children's Home, Yonkers, New York, 1944-1952
Abstract
This research is concerned with the development of the foster home department of the Leake and Watts Children's Home. This agency, which is located at 463 Hawthorne Avenue, Yonkers, New York, provides institutional and foster home care for destitute, dependent and neglected children. A brief historical sketch of the agency since its inception in 1831 will be included in this study.
