Vocational Rehabilitation - A National Problem or an Economic Solution? : A Study of the Policy, Program and Services of the Vocational Rehabilitation Act, 1920-1960

Dale Molloy, Fordham University

Abstract

The contents of this project were compiled and designed to formulate a limited, though constructive knowledge of the Vocational Rehabilitation Act for the benefit of those interested in the vocational rehabilitation of the handicapped. There was no attempt made to describe the many agencies in the field of rehabilitation, nor to pay tribute to the father of physical medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Howard A. Rusk, because this endeavor is restricted to the state-federal welfare program.

Subject Area
