Abstract
This research is a descriptive study of six boys aged eight to eleven years who had presented aggressive behavior and were referred to the Guidance Institute. The cases selected were taken from both the active and closed files of the agency, covering the years 1950 through 1954. Each child came from a home where the father no longer resided but had been in the home at least during the infancy of the child. another child in the home. The cases were referred to the agency on the basis of the youngsters' anti-social behavior, and poor school work and adjustment.
