Foster Parents: A Study of Agency Planning for the Evaluation of a New Program of Group Meetings for Foster Parents, Little Flower House of Providence, Wading River, New York, 1961-1963

Abstract

This study represents the first steps taken by the staff of Little Flower House of Providence in the development of evaluative procedure for the recently instituted program of Group Meetings for Foster Parents. The purpose of the program of Group Meetings for Foster Parents was set forth in a letter addressed to them dated December 5, 1961. It was stated that the agency was initiating the program in order to assist foster parents to fulfill their role to the fullest. The main aspect of this activity will of course be educational. At the same time by their very nature there will be an inherent social aspect to these planned meetings.
