A Child-Caring Institution and Its Milieu: A Study of the Factors Involved in the Expansion of the Program at St. Paul’s Orphanage, Pittsburgh, 1963

Abstract

Dynamic forces within the community brought about the birth of a social agency on July 17, 1836. This agency was christened St. Paul's Roman Catholic Orphan Asylum. The christening took place in the Diocese of Pittsburgh in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Today new forces present within and without St. Paul's urge it on towards a resurgence of life. This study is an analysis of the factors involved in this renewal.
