St. Vincent De Paul and Father Judge A Study of the Implementation of the Vincentian Principles of Charity in the United States, 1955
Abstract
"Like father, like son" is an adage so old as to have become almost axiomatic. Because of its universal acceptance in the physical sphere, the notion has been extended by analogy into the spiritual as well. Thus it is commonplace to refer to a Xavier as a worthy son of St. Ignatius or to an Aquinas as a true child of Aristotle. This same father- son relationship has been predicated of St. Vincent de Paul and the Very Reverend Thomas Augustine Judge, C.M., M.S.Ss.T. It is with the intention of discovering the bases of this relationship that the present study is undertaken.
