Social Group Work and the Aged: A Study of the Social and Mental Health Problems of the Aged Person and How Social Group Work May Help Alleviate These Problems
Abstract
Today, there is a problem in our country which is rapidly gaining recognition everywhere. It is stressed in the newspapers, talked about in the legislatures and given added attention by the medical and social work professions. It is the problem caused by the increasing numbers of the aged in our country and their many needs which are not being adequately met. This problem has been caused by three factors: science, industrialization and urbanization.
