Aggression in Boys From “Normal” Homes: A Study of Twenty-Two Boys From Homes Where Both Parents Were Present and Who Were Treated at the Catholic Charities Guidance Institute

Shirley Mariana Jensen, Fordham University

Abstract

In our culture a "normal" family group consists of the father, mother and child. Each one of the members bring their contribution to the environment in which they live. The feelings and attitudes of one member influences the feelings and attitudes of the others. There is continuous interaction which makes for either love or hate, happiness or unhappiness. It has long been established that the development of the child's personality and character depends on the family. His potentials for being a well integrated human being are developed within this constellation.
