A Medical Social Study of the Cerebral Palsy Clinic at the Hospital for Special Surgery From Its Re-Activation in October, 1946, to the Present Time With a Description of Five Cases Selected From the Clinic
Abstract
All children, as individuals and human beings, are entitled to enjoy certain rights and to this end certain needs must be met. This has been increasing recognized in recent years and children who are unable to have their needs met by their own families are gradually coming under state or community programs, either partially or fully, for assistance in their adjustments. For this purpose there have been created agencies for the protection and care of the dependent child and his parents, and clinics and organizations for the benefit of the ill and the disabled have been developed.
