Organization of Schools by Standardized Intelligence Tests

Thomas Aquinas Catherine Drum, Fordham University

Abstract

All educators are aware that changes in schools organization must be made to meet the various changing conditions. In the days gone by when modern conveniences were unknown boys and girls were compelled to assist in doing practically all kinds of work. Then the curriculum with its three R's, served the average needs. Today the demand of the three R's remains imperative but in addition there is an ever growing demand for physical training, home science, shop work, music and art. What method of school organization can meet these demands? Where is the modern school supervisor to turn for a solution to this complex problem?
