Heart Disease: A Study of the Reactions of Relatives of Seventy-Eight Patients to Having a Cardiac Hospitalized, Saint Francis Hospital and Sanatorium, Roslyn, L.I., I95O-I96O
Abstract
In life man must go either forward or backward; there is no such thing as standing still. Everything in nature is in a constant state of change, from the smallest to the largest. We set goals for ourselves; when we attain our first goal, we cannot be complacent, for we shall soon begin a downward slide from our plateau and others will pass us on the upward road to new horizons. We can never be truly happy in this life, since we are destined to find true happiness only in the possession of our eternal goal, the Beatific Vision. Since we are always searching for happiness, our motives should keep in mind always the ultimate goal of life.
