Experiments in Arithmetic Conducted in P. S. 78, Manhattan
Abstract
The present age is marked by dissatisfaction with established customs. The clamor for progress has reached even the schoolroom. If old methods are found to be inadequate to meet the new demands, they must be changed and improved. This scientific spirit causes experimentation with new methods of teaching. Educational procedure is no longer static. It has become dynamic.
