A Study of the Needs for Services for the Cerebral Palsy Patient and of Resources Available in New York City

Abstract

The needs of the group of cerebral palsied patients were brought to the writer's attention while assigned to the Hospital for Special Surgery as a student social worker. Nowhere have adequate steps been taken to meet these particular requirements, nor has a special educational program been adopted adequately to play the major role in the total rehabilitation of these patients.
