The Youth Correction Authority Act A Review of the Youth Legislation of California, Massachusetts, Texas, and Minnesota Adopted From the Model Act of the American Law Institute
Abstract
Background of the Study. For the past ten years the American Law Institute has conducted a program having as its aim the promulgation of the Model Youth Correction Authority Act. In order to understand the implications of the Model Act and the manner in which the Act has been adapted by states which have passed Authority legislation, it is necessary to be familiar with the background of the Authority idea and the manner in which the program to promulgate the Act has been conducted.
